If you love chocolate and peanut butter, then these Peanut Butter Brownies are absolutely perfect. They’re fudgy, soft, and have swirls of creamy peanut butter on top.

Start by melting the butter and some of the semi-sweet chocolate bar. Once completely melted, add the sugar to the still warm mixture and vigorously whisk for 30-60 seconds. Add the eggs and vanilla and whisk until combined.
Then add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and mix until combined. Add in the peanut butter chips, then pour into a greased and lined baking pan. Add small globs of peanut butter on top and swirl with the tip of a knife.
Bake at 350° F for 30-35 minutes. Let these Peanut Butter Brownies cool before removing from the pan and cutting, but I love to heat them back up in the microwave before eating.
Some ingredients notes
Peanut Butter – Use creamy peanut butter, not a natural peanut butter that you have to mix.
Peanut Butter Chips – If you don’t have these, you can also use regular chocolate chips.
Tips
- Use a metal baking pan if you’re able to. If using a glass pan, it’ll probably take longer to bake.
- Lining the baking pan with parchment paper makes it so easy to remove the brownies from the pan before cutting and serving.
- To swirl the peanut butter globs on top of the batter, use the tip of a knife.

Description
These Peanut Butter Brownies are the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate. They’re soft, gooey, fudgy, and have swirls of creamy peanut butter all on top.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 ounces of a semi-sweet chocolate bar, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- ~ 1/4 cup peanut butter
Instructions
- Grease and line a 8″x8″ baking pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350° F.
- In a large (microwave safe) bowl, add the butter and chopped semi-sweet chocolate bar. Melt in the microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring between each set.
- Once completely melted, add the sugar and vigorously whisk for 30-60 seconds.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and whisk until combined. Then add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and mix until combined. Then stir in the peanut butter chips.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan. Drop small globs of peanut butter on top of the brownies. Use the tip of a knife to swirl the peanut butter around the brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a few crumbs (not liquid batter, but also not completely clean).
- Let cool and then remove from the pan to cut and serve.
